Materia Ondulatoria is a 17 minute fulldome audiovisual experience conceptually based on the wave-particle duality, a phenomenon that allows matter to behave either as waves or as particles. It explores different hidden layers of reality, that elude our sensory and perceptual system.
Embark on an abstract journey through the electromagnetic spectrum and wave phenomena, then pass by corpuscles and subatomic particles, until finally reaching quantum levels where matter can take either form.
A crucial part of this project was to create a piece whose media allows for a dialogue between the digital and the analog. By using code in three-dimensional applications to virtually mimic phenomena and employing electrical signals in oscilloscopes, the project combines these two universes. Some of the tools used to create the visuals were Cinema4D, Touchdesigner, VSynth (Max/MSP) and laser lissajous patterns recordings.
